PS

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

1. Who We Are

PS ("PS," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by B-Telecom LLC, an Oregon limited liability company registered to do business in Texas and doing business as "PS," located in Midlothian, Texas 76065. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the PS mobile app and the PS website (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

PS is an anonymous story-release platform. People write about things that have happened to them, and after identifying details are automatically removed, their story is released into a public feed for others to read. PS is built on a simple idea: you should not need an account, a name, or a login to be heard.

2. The Short Version

3. Information We Collect

3.1 The story you write

While you are writing, your story stays on your device. When you tap Release or Boost, the full text you typed, including any names, places, dates, or ages, is sent securely to our servers so it can be run through our anonymization process. We do not save this original version. It is used only for the few moments needed to anonymize it and is then discarded. We never display your original, unedited story back to you or to anyone else.

Because stories on PS often describe difficult personal experiences, what you write may include sensitive information, such as details about health, mental health, relationships, sexuality, or experiences with crime. Before your story is released, the App asks you to confirm that you understand your story will be processed to remove identifying details and then published anonymously. Tapping to confirm is how you give us permission to process your story. If you do not wish to give that permission, simply do not release the story.

3.2 Released stories

Once a story has been anonymized and released, the anonymized version is stored and made visible to readers of PS. Released stories are public by design and are not tied to any account, username, or profile.

When you release a story, you give PS the rights to the anonymized version, as described in our Terms of Service. PS keeps those rights to the anonymized version only. PS never has, keeps, or claims any rights to your original, unedited story, because it is never saved.

Because names, places, dates, ages, and other details are changed during anonymization, released stories are not factual accounts of any identifiable person or event. Any resemblance of a released story to a real, identifiable person or event is coincidental.

3.3 Technical information

Like nearly every online service, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when your device connects to our servers. This may include your IP address, device type, operating system, browser type (on the website), app version, the date and time of the connection, and error messages. We use this information only to keep the Service running, fix problems, and prevent abuse. We do not use it to identify who wrote a story, and our systems are set up so that story text is not recorded in these logs.

We do not currently use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting tools, and the PS website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add a tool like this in the future, we will update this Policy first.

Free reading for writers. During our limited-time offer, releasing a story gives the device you released it from 2 days of free reading (see our Terms of Service). The App saves the date this free reading ends on your device only. It is never sent to us, so it is not linked to you or to the story you released.

Random app ID. The first time you open the App, it creates a random ID and saves it on your device. It is not your name, email, phone number, or an account, and it is different on every device. The App sends it to our servers only to remember which reactions (dove, eagle, butterfly, or sun) this device has chosen on a story, so the same device cannot add the same reaction more than once, and to remember whether this device has started a free trial. We never send this ID with a story you release or a report you file, so it is not linked to anything you write. Reaction records are deleted along with the story they belong to. If you delete the App, your device will get a new random ID the next time you install it.

3.4 Payment information

If you subscribe as a reader or choose to Boost a story you have written, payment is handled by Apple's App Store, Google Play, or, for purchases made on our website, our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number. We may receive limited information from these companies, such as confirmation that a purchase was completed or that a subscription is active, so that we can give you access.

3.5 Age information

Some state laws, including Texas law, require app stores to verify users' ages and share an age category with app developers. If Apple or Google sends us this kind of age information, we use it only to confirm that you are old enough to use PS and to follow those laws.

3.6 Messages you send us

If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to respond to you.

Feedback in the App. You can send us feedback from the App: your thoughts on PS, or, from the preview screen before you release a story, a note that the rewritten version does not read right. Feedback from the preview screen includes the anonymized version you were shown, so we can improve our anonymization process. It never includes your original text, and it is not released as a story. We do not send your random app ID with feedback. A name or email is included only if you choose to type one in, and we use it only to reply to you.

4. How Our Anonymization Process Works

Before any story is released, it passes through an automated process that finds and replaces or generalizes details that could identify you or others, including names, specific places, exact dates, and exact ages. This process runs on our own servers, hosted by Google Cloud. Your story is not sent to any outside AI company.

We built and tested this process carefully, but no automated system is perfect, and it may not catch every identifying detail in every sentence. Please do not include anything in your story that you would not be comfortable becoming public, even after this process runs.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to:

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

PS never saves or shares your original, unedited story. Once you release a story, PS holds rights to the anonymized version, as described in our Terms of Service, and may publish, use, or license it, which could include sharing it with others, such as publishers or media producers. We do not sell, license, or share any information that could identify who wrote a story, and anyone we work with on released stories must agree never to try to identify a writer or anyone described in it.

We share limited information only with these service providers, and only so they can help us run PS:

These providers are required to use the information only to provide their services to us and to protect it.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to protect someone's safety.

7. Our Promise About Anonymized Stories

Released stories are kept only in anonymized form. We will not try to re-identify the person who wrote a story, or any person described in it, and we will not allow our service providers to do so.

8. How Long We Keep Information

9. Sensitive and Crisis-Related Content

Because PS invites people to write honestly about difficult experiences, the App may show a supportive check-in prompt if your writing contains certain language associated with present-tense crisis or self-harm. This check happens automatically. It only displays the prompt: nothing is saved, recorded, or reported, and no person reviews your writing. It is not a crisis hotline, is not monitored by a counselor or medical professional, and should never be relied on in an emergency.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the United States) or your local emergency services right away.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to:

An important limit, by design. Because PS does not use accounts, we cannot connect a released story to the person who wrote it, and we will not try to. This means we usually cannot find, correct, or delete a specific released story at a writer's request. We can still respond to requests about other information we hold, such as purchase confirmations or emails you have sent us.

How to make a request. Email us at ps.support@btelecomllc.com. We may ask for limited information to confirm your request is genuine. You may also use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf where state law allows.

Timing. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will let you know, as allowed by law.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing ps.support@btelecomllc.com with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal in writing within the time your state's law requires, generally 45 to 60 days. If you are not satisfied with our decision, you may contact your state's Attorney General.

No penalty. We will never treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

Browser privacy signals. Because we do not sell information or show targeted ads, there is nothing to opt out of. We will still honor opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where the law requires it.

11. Health Information Notice (Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut)

Some states, including Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut, have laws that protect "consumer health data," meaning information about a person's physical or mental health. A story you write on PS might include this kind of information. Here is how we handle it:

12. Adults Only (18 and Over)

PS is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Because stories on PS may involve mature or difficult subject matter, PS is not directed at, and is not intended for, anyone under 18.

We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use PS, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. We may use age information provided by Apple or Google to confirm that users are 18 or older. If we learn that someone under 18 has used PS, we will take steps to block their access and delete any information about them that we can identify. If you believe someone under 18 has used PS, please contact us.

13. Additional Information for California Residents

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, as defined by California law: identifiers (such as IP address, a random app ID, and your email address if you contact us); commercial information (such as confirmation of a subscription or Boost); internet or network activity (such as technical logs); and sensitive personal information you choose to include in a story (such as health or other personal details). We collect this information from you and your device, and from Apple, Google, and our payment processor. We use and disclose it only for the purposes in Sections 5 and 6, and we keep it for the periods in Section 8.

We have not sold or shared personal information for targeted advertising in the past 12 months, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the information of anyone under 16. We use sensitive personal information only for the purposes permitted by California law, so the right to limit its use does not apply. California residents may exercise the rights described in Section 10.

14. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including encrypting data while it travels between your device and our servers. On supported mobile devices, the App also blocks or warns against screenshots and screen recording while your unreleased story, or a story you are reading, is visible. That protection is not available in web browsers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Where Your Information Is Stored

Our servers are hosted in the United States. If you use PS from outside the United States, your information will be processed and stored in the United States.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide notice in the App and on our website before the changes take effect.

17. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to make a privacy request, email us at ps.support@btelecomllc.com. PS is operated by B-Telecom LLC, DBA PS, Midlothian, Texas 76065.
